Welcome to Taylors
We're a Yorkshire family business devoted to the craft of outstanding tea and coffee. It's important to us that we love what we make and can be proud of it- our standards aren't standard. We do things properly, without shortcuts, and we show care and respect to everyone along the way, from the people who grow it to the people who drink it. Since 1886, that's been right at the heart of our company, and we think it shows.
Professional taste buds are a serious business. It takes years of training, tasting and travelling before our trainee tea buyers get to drop the 'trainee' from their titles – and they never stop learning. Our tea experts have decades of experience in seeking out the very best teas from the top gardens in the world, and skilfully blending flavour-packed fruits and herbs to create our beautifully balanced infusions. And only by tasting 1000 teas every day are they able to select a handful which meet their standards. These are just some of the reasons we carry the Royal Warrant, as an official supplier to the Prince of Wales.
Thinking Long Term
Taylors is built on long term relationships, often developed over decades. We're proud to be founding members of the Ethical Tea Partnership, which helps producers meet internationally recognised standards. Our buyers regularly travel to visit the farms and co-operatives that supply our tea and coffee and have a genuine rapport with our suppliers – because when we work with people, we want those relationships to be real and sustainable. We've outlined our commitment to ethical trading in depth here

125 years of craft
It's all about doing things properly – from the way it's grown to the flavour in your cup. We've been devoted to that idea for over 125 years, since our founder Charles Taylor sold his first pack of tea.
