The English twist – Blackberry & Elderflower

Taylors-Tea-Blackberry-Elderflower

Is there anything more English than hedgerows full of glossy, stain-your-fingers-purple blackberries and fulsome blooms of white elderflower?

The creative talent behind our new range of fruit and herbal teas, head tea buyer Kate didn’t think so  – and decided to borrow the blend idea from a tea she originally created for an ‘English country garden’ range served in the tearooms of our sister company, Bettys.

“This one I didn’t want to let go of,” Kate says. “For the partnership with Kew Gardens, I just though that elderflowers and blackberries are so quintessentially English that I wanted to take that into the new range.

“We wanted to have a red berry fruit flavour in there too, but everybody does the same thing – strawberries, raspberries, blackcurrants – so we thought it would be very British to have this twist with the elderflower. It’s something slightly different.”

And, we hope you agree, very tasty, too!
